Ive never been a fan of gold hardware, was thinking about getting rid of the red one, thought ide keep the custom pro.

So i swapped all the hardware, they are both 2012, black one is a custom pro and the red one is a standard pro.

Pretty easy, both had the plug in pickups and pull up knobs to split the pickups took like an hour, broke a string on the pro but they both need new strings anyway.

Also, i countersunk the strap locks, ive done it to a few guitars, makes a little more clean looking imo

IMO, I'd have left the knobs. The gold knobs would look better on the red, w/ gold hardware & the black speed knobs w/ white numbers, would look cleaner w/ the black w/ chrome hardware...

Jesis Jumping Kee-rist! WTF is that? Put the hardware back to stock ASAP, and don't ever pull that shit again. Not ever!

I like the changes you did, I would have left the knobs though.

I think the black one looks good with either hardware in it. I do think the red one looks better with the gold hardware in it. I wonder if this has any effect on the value of the guitars? I am guessing not since they are new guitars anyway and the hardware was probably a customization choice any way.

Looks good! I am not a fan of gold hardware on a guitar or gold anything for that matter.

Wait a minute! Are those Gibson guitars? Those bridge posts sure look metric to me.

Cool look. I have a pair of 57 classics I want to put in my black custom, but they're chrome. You nay have inspired me.

I like the counter-sunk strap locks. Guitars should come that way.

Look closely at the strap lock on the black guitar. It doesn't stick out. It is flush with the guitar body.
