Green ceramic disc cap???

    I am used to the brownish colored disc caps. I ordered some and the pic was the typical brownish color....the caps I got are green and do not say NPO. The are the right value and say 102 just like the other version. There is another marking that is Y5F. They are rated at 1k volts.

    are these safe to use for the bright cap or should I send these back???

    It will still work... Y5F is the tolerance and temperature.

    Always use the safety squint when testing bright caps

    Haha. BRIGHT.. You squint when looking at BRIGHT lights. He's trying to be funny.

    In my 35 years fixing electronics, I think I've seen ceramic disc caps in every color except for purple, pink, and black.
