really? I remember everyone (except me) having one in the '80s, when I was in HS. They seemed to have decent tone. Everyone used an Ibanez Tubescreamer into the front. Of course, I had the POS Fender Sidekick 10 (or whatever), so anything was better than that POS. When I upgraded, I went to a Peavey Special 120 (IIRC), so I never got a Gorilla.

I never owned a Pignose either.

But, then, when I started playing in bands, everyone was running hot-rodded Marshalls (mostly JCM800 w/ extra tube added & tones tweaked for more mid/bass). I've never looked back towards solid state, except getting the digital JMD-1 & now the Kemper.

How do you use that little amp?

Ironically, I seem to remember seeing some Gorilla profiles floating around...

I got it on a whim at a flea market.
I jammed on it a bit and the guy could not believe the tones I was getting outta the little thing.
(caught me on a good day I guess)
Got it home, and decided to mod it a bit.
Put an external speaker out on it so I could plug it into a cab.
I also pulled the LED's used for clipping and installed my asymmetrical diode mod on it.
    Instant brown sound...

I had to replace the tarnished chrome nickel corners on it for powder-coated black ones.
The thing looks and plays better than new. I'll never get rid of it...

Remember Crate? My first big amp and it sucked pretty bad. Soon after i got a 1st gen Fender Blues deluxe in tweed and all was well.

Love this part of the product description:
"Headphone jack turns off the 6-1/2" speaker so you can keep your pain to yourself" lol
