Who needs a neck pickup anyway? I don't need a neck PU.
I donno about those knobs...
"Each 1964 Firebird I will also feature an Eric Clapton signed backplate, a replica of the strap he used, a reproduction of the guitar's original case, a Certificate of Authenticity booklet and more."
It's a fuckin' geetar, is all...
An Eric Clapton signed backplate, a replica of the strap he used, a reproduction of the guitar's original case, a Certificate of Authenticity booklet and more shit ain't gonna make anyone sound like Eric, and sure as eggs come out of chickens butts ain't gonna make anyone play like Eric...
There's always a few tasty ones on the bay of Flea going around the grand mark. Shoot, buy one trek over to a Clapton gig and get the old fart to sign the damned thing if'n it floats your boat. Wood and steel, just wood and steel...

I was being sarcastic it was a joke. I was making fun of the replica strap, as if it had some magical powers.
Can we run them over with a tank?
All for $8000.00 What a deal...
I'll take two..
I had an original Firebird I for a number of years - my worst "the one that got away" story. Dunno about this reissue but the real thing was pretty special
These days I do like having a neck pickup, YMMV...
EDIT: gratuitous posting of a young me:
Do they turn EVERY guitar anyone with any kind of fame ever picked up into a sig model priced like a decent used car now???
I can just see it now
Coming soon in 2020 model year: Ibanez Gio w/ Beavis and Butthead sticker and pre-broken input jack, just $5000... exact replica of guitar seen in pimply awkward middle school photograph of so-and-so
They should commemorate guitars before the 50's, too, played by anyone.
That is such an awesome Geddy Lee hair doo
Geddy was in, back then.
I've got a broken hot tub. Can we turn it into a time machine and go back to the '70s? I miss rayon.
The dude that lived there was Gene and plays for the hottest band in the land.
I foolishly passed on a '64 Firebird I 35 years ago.
I didn't think it was worth $850.00.
IMO, a great guitar.
$850.00 was a lot to spend on a guitar in those days.
I bought a limited edition '71 Gibson P 90 LP Gold Top instead for $750.00.
IMO, a great guitar too.
My guitar buddies told me that $750.00 was too much to spend on a LP.
A few weeks later, I had the $'s but the '64 Firebird I was gone.
The new owner wanted $1350.00 for it and I passed again.
I recently tried 2 different Custom Shop Firebird I's.
You could shoot an arrow from their necks.
Rightfully so, passed again.
About 2 months ago, I tried a Joe Bonamassa Epiphone Poly Mist Firebird I.
It was a left over for $750.00 and, IMO, was as good as the original '64.
I reluctantly passed again.
Maybe I'll eventually have one.
BTW, I recently traded my '96 Gibson Firebird V & '97 Fender Jimi Hendrix Strat for this:
I'm a 335 nut.
Think I'm a lawyer or a doctor with a trophy case?
Is that a reel to reel tape i see on the couch?
