FS JCM900 4500 1991-1992 $600

    1991-1992 JCM 900 4500. This is the 50 watt Dual Reverb. A couple cuts in the tolex on the bottom. Other than that looks and functions like new. No mods. Bone stock. Purchased in Nashville for a session and has been in storage ever since. $600 + shipping.

    The 5881 have the tube that says 5881 on the faceplate. This should definitely be an EL34.

    Not all of them. Only sure way is to check the wiring and components.

    The switch to 5881 happened around mid 93 though, so assuming it hasn’t been converted at some point, a 1990-91-92 should be EL34.

    Yes if you look at the screen resistors you can see which tubes the amp is set up for.
    (or if somebody changed it)
    EL 34 should have 2.2K 5 watt resistors for the screens.
    If the amp is set for 5881, the screen resistors should be 470 ohm 5 watt.

    The schematic I have says 5 watt, but apparently 4 watt was enough?
