What kind of foot switch is right for my Valvestate S80 Model 8240.
The amp has Clean/Crunsh, OD1/OD2 and stereo chorus and reverb.
I dont think it´s possible to control all of this, but hopefully some of it.

    Cheers
    Rune

I guess its the Marshall PEDL-10010 (P803) twin footswitch...

Looking at the manual, it says use the P802 footswitch to control channels (clean/OD) and reverb (on/off). The modern equivalent seems to be a PEDL-91003? But the labels are wrong (channel. OD1/OD2). I suspect that any 2 button Marshall pedal will work but you will only be able to switch between the channels, with the mode settings as set from the front panel of the amp. The right button does reverb.
I am using the 2-button F/s that came with my DSL40CR to operate a VS65R (channel switching only).
I depends if you can live with the mislabelling of the right hand button, which may be labelled reverb (correct), OD1/OD2, or chorus.
If you can stand to use a NON-Marshall pedal (God forbid!), the HQRP generic pedal may do:

    The manual: https://medias.audiofanzine.com/files/8010-8020-8040-8080-8100-8200-8240-8280-manual-479349.pdf

*EDIT - I was looking at the wrong section. You do need the P803! Sorry.
So no reverb switching. Chorus switching instead.

Still, I think most 2 button F/s will work.

Thanks a lot. I’ve got a tips from Marshall in Norway that the PEDL-91004 is the best choice for my needs, and as you say: most 2 button F/s will work :)
