Five transformers explode!

    Not in my amplifiers... outside. We're in the middle of a very intense storm. One transformer blew, then four more in less than one minute! WTF? Thankfully, we still have power. Lightning struck so close to the house, that it set off our security system alarm.

    I've got a bad feeling about this years hurricane season... :ugh:

    Had that happen out here in So Cal near me 5-6 years back during summer. And it goes just like 67Mopar described. Saw one go about 2 blocks down (So Cal Edison substation), then 3-4 more popped around town, you could hear the explosion and see the flames. We got lucky and our street wasn't hit, but the next block over was and were those people pissed. I'm sure since it was about 103 degrees they had good reason.
