    Same here, I was a massive metal fan when this came out & Priest were at the top of their game IMO.

    Another great, who I would classify as "hard rock" for want of a better term;
    Graham Bonnet during his time with Rainbow & into his early career with Alacatrazz.

    This fella too, before he became world famous;

    Rik Emmett as well. Great range and emotion but also partly the songwriting, if that counts. Many very positive uplifting songs, delivered so well.

    Rob Halford. Insane range, love the operatic delivery and stage presence. So theatrical!!

    Ray Gillen, Badlands. What a wailer and I love the songs. (As an aside, one of my favorite guitar tones)

    Ronny Dio. Wow. What a fantastic metal voice. The character and tone.

    Lzzy Hale. Can sing anything, has such a nice smoky quality to her voice.

    I like Janis Joplin and I can't say why except she just has a very powerful voice. I was youngster when I first heard her on the am radio. Of course , not her best song but first thing I heard from her.To many others Plant was another early one for me. Halford , Dickinson , Ozzy because was the voice of metal back then.

    I love Patsy Cline. many of those early Country singers were incredible. Also Steve Perry. Ann Wilson has the pumpin'est chick pipes ever, check out her stellular performance on "Wait For An Answer" below. I love a lot of old Motown stuff.

    Listen to the whole song right through to the end:

    Love the honesty, innocence and purity of this music.
    Motown was my very earliest influence, and I envy it greatly to this day.
    I heard it since the day I was born, as it's what my parents played on their stereo:

    SO many more!

    No singer has impressed me since the dawn of autotune. I hate it so much I wanna just give up listening to late music altogether sometimes. Modern recording methods have completely spoiled the natural sound of raw talent for me.

    Wow, it took a long time to listen to all those! lol but I loved every second! Ann Wilson and Lzzy Hale are a couple others that I adore, but I'm the most happy about Janis Joplin making the list too :D Plant, Mercury, DIO... so many loves! (we need a love button). Also, Johnny Cash :cool: that low, low, lowwwww voice just gets me!

    But let's not forget the amazing:

    Such a great talent. Unfortunately, has some demons. Lets not judge.
    He always has obnoxious crowds for some reason. This one isn't too bad.
