"All hardware has been relic'd, including the custom brass string retainer, screw-eye strap hooks, side output jack and original, period-correct Schaller tuning machines."
I wish people would stop doing that (rusting the hardware).
I ain't paying $1500 and up for a guitar that looks like shit................artificially of course.
I’d rock it if it had a halfway decent neck. Every one of these types I’ve played have been toothpicks. Or ‘lightning fast’ necks as they call them lol
Did they really need to include the cigarette burns on the headstock? From what it sounds like I don't think I would like the neck. I think I will just stick with my Charvel San Dimas.
As there are only 50 of them being made multiply that by 10 !
Speed is in the fingers. Discuss.
When they do these "tribute" guitars (i.e. EVHs 'Frankstrat', Claptons 'Blackie', Yngwies 'Duck', etc.) don't they usually have the original to work from? The original version of this one is in a coffin with Dimebag, so I guess they just used pics and Ed's memory?
these guitars are like a 2 meters long dick. It's only good to show off, because they lack utility.
And if they got it wrong, who would know?
I guess if you really want the "official" version, then spending 20 grand for the Bumblebee is the way to go. It would be an easy thing to simply get this one...
...and replace the strap buttons with screw eyes, sand the logo off the head stock and do a little relic'ing. It would probably be closer to the real thing, too.
Out of curiosity I looked around trying to find mention of a price; so far I have not seen anything. If you have to ask, you can't afford it!
20 grand at MF.
Funny, my google searches for "EVH 79 Bumblebee" still don't bring that one up. It's a bargain, I'll order 2 of them!
Aw Johnny you shouldn't have. I'll pm you with my mailing address.!!!
You could pay me to get onstage with someone else's guitar. Otherwise, no.
Eddie needs the money.
they just took one of Ox Fox's guitars & called it Eddie's...
