I always said the 40CR dint need no stinkin pedals but the ethos is awesome with it. Even with way too much gain it's still sweet and controlled..The ethos has become my always on pedal - sort of dont need all the modes and channels - just the volume control. First pedal I've ever used that sounds great with both pickups on my LP with no tweaking.

Where did you get that pedal @purpleplexi? Neither MF nor Sweetwater has it.

It’s received some great reviews,....one from Guitar Player Mag.

Still a bargain but a fair bit more than I paid. Actually if you think of it as a small amp which I do it's still a bargain new with the UK duty, shipping and pathetic exchange rate.

Yeah tough to find esp in the UK. Worth the look though. Currently digging mine with the gain really low. While some pedals get ' sticky' at low gain levels this one is still smooth and responsive. Sounds woody.

Update this thing continues to amaze me. Currently digging the presence switch that acts like a srparate treble booster. Just amazing sounds out of it. - scorching hot but still sweet.

Sort of can't imagine how I managed without it. Esp when I was doing Zeppelin.
