This might seem like a dumb question but can I run my DSL 40CR in stereo with my JVM 210H through my 1960 A &B cabs?..... or can the 40CR run one of those cabs if I choose to plug one in to it? Haven’t messed around at all with this kinda stuff.

Sure. Plug the 40CR into one cab and the JVM into the other. Either keep the internal speaker on with the 40CR or unplug it. Make sure you use the correct output on the 40 if you decide to use the internal speaker as well.

As long as you match the Impedance you should be fine ……

Cool. And if I use the 40CR speaker and hook to one of the cabs for a total of 5 twelve inch speakers what jack should I use for ohms on the combo? Will the 40CR power that many speakers alright? I mean will it sound good or mediocre etc? I don’t assume it’ll power them the same as the JVM 100watt head

What are the Cab Specs ?
We need to know what the Ohm Rating is on each Speaker Cab
    Standard 1960s are 16ohm ( 4 16ohm speakers wired series/parallel) But you want to make sure !!

Is it a standard 1960 at 16 ohms? Run speaker and cab both out the 8 ohm jacks.

If you’re cab is 16 ohm’s, plug both internal, and cab into the 8 ohm tap off of the 40cr, I have the 40 c’s and I have been plugging them into 412 mg cabs since I bought them, and it makes the 40c have a larger footprint, so to speak! Cheers

Make sure to look on label …… if they say 16ohm …… The 1960 goes into the DSL40 16ohm Jack if you disconnect the internal combo speaker …… if you leave the combo speaker plugged in , then plug it into one of the 8ohm jacks AND plug the 1960 into the other 8ohm Jack
Do not use the 16 ohm plug on the DSL
The 8ohm jacks are parallel so all 5 speakers should total 8ohm resistance
( you may find that the combo speaker is noticeably louder than the 1960 if you do that though)

The JVM should hook up the same way …… Match your Loads with Tube Amps !!
