Hi Brian- Suddenly in the past 24 -48 hours I can't access your site or your email addresses, "forbidden on this server"- is this some weirdness at my end, or is anyone else having issues? Thx- Jeff

PS: I think '69 is correct, not '67. Even if pre-'69s exist, clearly they didn't change over until 1969.

FWIW... Brian has put this in another post...

"It will likely be down for a week or two yet sorry, hopefully back up and running before the end of the month."

Hi, 1&1 have suspended my account, so no emails and no website. I will get it back online as soon as I can. You can still contact me here and on the gear page etc.

Thanks for the 69 confirmation Jeff.

Hi! Btw, I also wondered if he really meant to refer to the move off the spoke, that was “by ‘67”, right?

That was earlier still. T1221 had them by 65. Not sure about the vox alnicos by 65, but they had them by 66 for sure:

The way he describes it in the book, sounds like he means the little tabs to me. Maybe he found some of Justin Harrisons speakers with fake date codes? They seem to have had a healthy stock of Vox gear:

Yes, that could be a possibility. But the bottom line seems to be that the statement as written doesn't really work accurately for any scenario.

Speaking of the AC100 ultra details site, reminds me IIRC they mention/illustrate a brief run of grey not black terminal boards on at least some Celestions ca early 1966. I've got a feb '66 T1217 greenback like that, used to have a second. Have you tracked those earliest grey terminals? In case we need more to obsess about.

Yes the grey ones came first, all through 65 (on t1221). The black ones appear around April 66. The grey ones were still used sporadically afterwards though. I think I saw one on a 69 speaker once.

    Getting really nerdy here. :)

Music Ground..."The Supreme Court of Rock N Roll"...LOL what a bunch of scammers.

I had two clients I had to help get money back from them on fake speakers, and forged cabs. They didn't care for me at all by the time the Visa & MasterCard disputes were over.

Yeah came back online a couple of days ago, you can email again now too. Everything back to normal.

I might revamp it again later in the year. I don't like all the cheesy graphics I had to make for it, but that wordpress theme requires it. Just glad it's not hosted on weebly anymore. I can actually edit it now.
