Crazy. I’m not a fan of V30’s but if I was in the market for a 2x12 I would look into what other speakers they offer.

Big fan of Phil McKnight too. He has some good stuff on his channel.

This is coming from Germany right? When I ordered my Silver Jubilee head from Anderton's shipping to the U.S., I thought I was being all sneaky getting this great price and taking advantage of the strong dollar then, etc... well then i got tagged with some b.s. ups $100 international tax crap that i had to pay or ups was going to send a collection agency after me. I still made out, kinda. Not sure if you would get hit with that if you're in America, but do your research first.

TheGuitologist thinks so too. But I’m no fan of 2x12s myself

Thomann buys the speakers in bulk and gets a heftyy discount on them I suppose. Hence why they can sell em in the Harley Benton cabs. They also own the HB name and those products are being made in China for them. I dunno how they can maintain these prices, I know they are the biggest musical instruments retailer in Europe but makes you wonder if the workers in China that build that stuff can even afford a grain of rice a day?

That said yeah be careful if you're in the US, taxes and customs can add up. I'm in Europe and had to pay quite some cash when Mike from OnFloorAudio sent me his OD pedal. He's in Canada.

I wonder what happens to all those HB cabs? Like people buy em, rip out the V30s to install em in some higher quality cabs and toss the old ones? They get good reviews after all

    Collection agency?

    For $100???

What kinda low rent goon squad is gonna bother collecting $100?

You sure this isn't some scammer from your local delivery office or some clown that hacked the parcel service?

    Whats wrong with a 2X12?

Sure a 4X12 is better but imo a 2X12 has its purpose specially a vertical slant 2X12 like the HBs

The sole benefit of a 2x12 cab is: portability nothing more.

Both take up exactly the same footprint, 14x30 inches

Been there done that. Figure 8% tax on anything coming from Europe. They have healthcare to pay for.

I bought a Marshall setup from England a few years back for $3400....so the tax was like $270 or something....ouch.
