I think it’s obvious. Carvin builds in batches. The amps have no support. I’m sure they laid off a bunch of staff.

    Still, great amps but WTF?

Yeah then they shut down again in a year and you lose your warranty entitlement like they did to all the people from before...

There is no warranty now. They are making believe theyre going out of business and introducing new product at the same time. In fairness, their web site is now using the term’clearance’

I thought they were "going out of buisness as Carvin" and then starting again as "Carvin audio" ? or something like that?

You know whats funny, these pricks didn't build any X100b's for almost 2 years, when of course I wanted one. Now that they are screwing around with the company all of a sudden they have them? WTF! I'm waiting for that X100B footswitch thing to come out, when it does I'm going to grab one. If it really does sound like a X100b it will be great. I think I would get a Mesa TC100 and set it up in that. If I could get the TC100 sound's and abilities and the outstanding drive of the X100 as well as the best clean I'v ever heard, case closed. There isn't much you couldn't get with that set up. The TC100 is the best sounding rock amp from mesa to me, after trying a bunch the Mark V was ok but just way to hard to get a sound you want without fucking around with it for an hour. The TC amps just have a better sound than most, much easier to run, and most everything you need for a all around amp. Now stick the tones of an X100b in it, as well as that 5 band EQ and gain boost, I think I would be very happy.

I knew this was going to happen. The old "going out of business" tactic is the oldest quick-revenue trick in the book.

I’m not a fan of the new company. It’s not going to last. None of the their amps, even new, come with any warranty and they are not helpful in offering any support. Laughable, they claim their new product has a warranty.

When a company goes under, so does their warranty. Then they start up again under a slightly different name, "Carvin Audio" vs. "Carvin"

And your warranty only applies to the original company, not the new one.

A good way for the new Carvin to go the way of the old Carvin is to void old Carvin warranties.

nope. Not at all. One of the positives for cash flow and expenditures is to delete all the costs due to contractual support.
