Better speakers for a 1973x....

    XC speaker is voiced exactly between between M and H magnet so it does not need mixing with any other speaker.

    COOL....Only thing is, I read a couple of reviews where guys said they found this speaker to be 'slightly scooped' in tonal nature. So I was just thinking of maybe pairing it with a more mid focused speaker to fill in some of those frequencies? I dunno, could just pick up another of these I spozeā€¦...the research continues!!:iough:

    It has a bit of scoop around 1500Hz but so do most of them.

    So I picked up a gently used Celestion G12 H30 @ the recommendation of a guy who claims he got great results in his Bluesbreaker with this combo....Vee shull si!:duel:

    I did a match set in an old Vox Defiant cab I rescued. I used two different model 12" Celestions but I went through several of each model until I found two that sounded good together.

    Point is, even speakers of the same brand and model don't all sound the same so if you're picky about what you want to hear, just ordering a pair and thinking it will make you pleased is a gamble.
