'Best Tone Competition' - Results and Awards

    The people have spoken, and our ‘Best Tone’ competition is complete.

    We have heard many worthy entries, and the voting was close:


    In third place, the Bronze medal goes to big dooley, with 15 votes!

    in my case a '93 les paul standard with EB .012/.056's on a marshall JVM 410H on OD1 orange, trough a 1936 cab, with a G12H30 anniversary on the left and a vintage 30 on the right...

    Congrats guys!!!!!:thumb: Dugger, Big Dooley! Awesome job everyone! Seriously, when I put my clip up I didn't even think twice about winning this, I didn't even think I would get any votes honestly, I swear to you, let alone win! Thank You! This is HUGE honor!

    blues_n_cues, I was using, Guitar, ESP LTD Viper 400 W EMG 81 - Head, Marshall JCM900 4500 - Cab, Carvin Loaded with Sheffield 75watters. - Mic, 2000's Audio - Straight into my comp, Recording software, Adobe Audition 3.0. No pre or post EQ what you hear is what you get, the only thing EQ'ed is the drums.

    very cool & congratz guys. i wish i was around to get in on this thing but the tone is in the ear of the beholder. i'm prolly going back to too old school for this. anyway,i'm going to post up a tone sample later today & would like opinions.
