Yup this is one bad ass guitar. Never have i played a 12 as good as this. Keeper big time. Soundwise it is super bright, clean, clear. Carvin's M22 buckers are as good as anything else out there. Absolutely worth the price of admission. Now if i could find one of these in the 6/12 variety i'd be styling.

That Carvin is sweet. Was really hard not to pull the trigger on a California Carved top when first introduced. Was looking to buy my first Les Paul at the time. Went up and down the state Playing everything I could find. The only thing I liked was the CT6 and the Les Paul Standard. I knew I'd always kick myself if I didn't buy the Gibson, and here it is 8 Les Paul's later, still don't have one. I'm sure I'll pick one up eventually.

Have you looked at the Victory goldfoils? I have used a couple ( not on solid bodies) and dig them alot. They are priced real nice too compared to old DeArmond's. 20180629_203546.jpg

No, mostly Im afraid of anything not DeArmond, using the term or going under the guise, gold foil ....because it means too many things . But I'll keep an eye out on your recommendation
Do they pack the juice like a DeArmond ? As you know ,a DeArmond can be up there with a p-90
Sentell Pickups in CA is making a LOW profile surface mount that Im lookin to try as well

Pretty close imo, i put this one in a Dobro and amother in a cigar box but i compared them to this and it ain't far off. It's sure worth a try for 50 bux.
This is the sheet he sent with it and the measurement he sent for a pickguard cutout. 20190115_152422.jpg 20190115_152308.jpg

I have a Rickenbacker 660/12 in Montezuma Brown.

I also own a Jet Glo Rickenbacker 360/12 with "rare" factory mini Grover tuning pegs.

Rickenbacker guitars have a unique sound.......

My electric 12 was made by Englishman on Gretsch talk, its a '60s unused Gretsch Astro Jet body mated to 70s Epiphone 12 neck with GFS Memphis pickups and a Dano intonatable bridge. 20180612_184138-1.jpg

Only electric 12 I ever played is my Epi SG doubleneck.
If axe4me sells one of his Ibanez 1978 doublenecks, I'd take that!!
