You're granted a choice to either travel back in time to any place in history, or you can travel forward in time to see what will become of the world …. which one do you choose and where do you go?

I'll go forward, and since everything come full circle, I'll end up at the beginning...

    That's an interesting response.

Future. Can't live without technology. Would love to see flying cars, cyber genetics, space colonies, stem cells technology. I better stop there. Plus, back in the past = no guitar, no TV, no smartphone & no car.

Good one. I voted backward because I'm incurably nostalgic and should have been born in the 1940's. Although, I do fear the past because I may not be able to live without the technologies we have today, and I fear the future because I probably would feel estranged.

Do you have the ability to come back?
Either way I'd probably chose forward cause I'm curious about what's going to happen.
Don't really want to go back. From what I understand, Polio sucks.

I'd go back to about '76 and start over. I wouldn't have chosen guitar and hard rock, I'd probably have chosen something more stable like singing with the Osmonds or something like that. :yesway:
Where would I go? South of course.

I picked backwards thinking that I'd like to go back and undo a wrong, but who knows if I would have ended up where I did in life if I made that change. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason.

I chose backward... but I wouldn't go too far back. Just enough to fix a few things in my life... but I like voting, owning property, not being burned alive for being a witch, not being killed or imprisoned or experimented on for being gay, not dying of small pox or something awful like that... also, pretty sure I wouldn't last long in the past with my health conditions. I need me my medical science to survive! :ugh: but the future seems too scary for me... especially the way we're headed...

I pick the past. The future looks bad for humanity and the planet.
I could probably live like the Amish, except electric would be nice...gotta have power for the amps and AC. Cruising with a hottie at your side in a horse and buggy?

Good point Bear. Stock up on pre CBS Custom Color Strats, late 50s Les paul guitars and a couple Ford Mustangs.

Dammit, I screwed up my thread and made a second one by mistake

Maybe that's a sign I should go backward in time :hmm:

I voted for the past. Not too far back, around the mid-60's and mid-70's. The best time for music and songwriting IMHO. As well as a sense of hope for the world that's pretty much gone.

I see little hope for the future either. Just more dumbing down of people, more PC bullsh*t that's sucking the sense of humor and free speech out of the world, and out-of-control technology that's turning into a monster and stripping more and more of people's freedoms and private lives away with each passing year.

Sh*tty outlook I know, but that's just the way this old fart sees it..

    And pre-CBS Fenders, and pre-war Martins! :D

That's another cool thing about the mid 60's to mid-70's..Back then old guitars were still just considered "used guitars" and could be had for less $$ than a new one! Had we only known..
