So Australia and California can be blood brothers.

Or fire brothers, brothers in fire, or some saying like that.

When they rebuild though they have to meet the new regs. Flamezone adds at least $70k and people who are't properly insured complain they can't find the extra. The new regs won't save you from a firestorm but they will repel ember attack. It's something. As I always say my opinion worth what you paid for it but I've been advocating for minimum 100 meter apz's for decades. It doesn't decimate environments it just gives homeowners a worthwhile buffer.

Actually we have been leasing your fire bombing planes for years in your off season. Unfortunately the seasons now overlap so less extra revenue for your operators and more expense for us as we buy and maintain our own. :(

its very easy to walk away if you don't have kids , but they too will have kids
the evidence is overwhelming -the coral reefs , the artic melting , wild fires still raging even after torrential rain , the flooding we now have in the uk , and all around the world even the usa is getting regular wildfires

the easy way is to ignore like beef rump , but we need to man up and do whatever is needed -the time has come to act , we need to throw fossil fuel away
the tech is there already which will bring billions of jobs world wide as we refine this
we need to eat less meat and turn the grazing land to arable ,just planting trees does very little - experts telling us we have 10 years before its TOO late

but a lot of us think we know better and would rather ignore it , it's a choice as is everything - do we smoke , do we take A class drugs , do we rob people , do we hurt people , but one thing most of us have in common, we have children that we are desperate to love and cherish , and why should they not live a life like we have ,not having to deal with natural disasters on this huge scale , that we have made by our love for fossil fuels
if we have to change to survive , then its better to face it now before it gets any worse which it is and its speeding up

even if we change tomorrow the global heating will still continue for a few years

What agenda is that? Clean water and air? Outrageous!
I don't think you have anything to worry about; seems like mankind is content to trash the place. lol

The ‘world is going to end tomorrow if you don’t do what I say right now’ agenda.

As Jordan Peterson says—generally people have things that are more within their personal purview that are difficult to deal with, and that they are avoiding, and the way they avoid those things is by adopting pseudo moralistic stances on large scale social issues so they look good to their friends and their neighbors.

IMO- the only agenda that is being effectively pushed is one pushed by big industry money.
In many states it’s against the law for local municipalities to ban plastic bags. Why? Industry lobbyists buy laws and lawmakers.
    Just a random example.
Now all our fresh water supplies have micro plastics. Kudos!

My point being- “environmental agendas” aren’t going anywhere. Rampant pollution will continue.

    Arctic melting?

The last data by NOAA that the polar ice caps has not receded...

Wildfires in CA are caused by the state ban of removing dead, decaying underbush and diseased trees... Older trees are preventing new trees from getting the nutrients it needed... Dead and dry underbush are perfect igniters... While state parks are under federal jurisdiction, but once the trucks that are hauling old logs and brushes are out of the area, they fall under the state laws... They get fined by the state....

Human encroachment aka land development into forested areas are another cause of wildfire breakouts....

Heatwaves come and go, but wildfires are preventable if common sense prevail....

you are joking man , if you look hard enough , you can find anything you want , sorry but that is complete bullshit

and don't tell me , the austrailian bush wild fires are a natural event to the scale that we have seen this year, still burning since September 2019

Nonsense. It has been getting better and will continue to do so. Look at what we have done since the early 1970s.

If people really wanted to make a difference they would march and protest in China. But that isn't as convenient or hip as yelling "Orange Man Bad" is it?

Human beings are spiritual beings and we are currently in an era of declining interest in establishment religions. Mother Nature is simply the natural and logical place for people to turn.

Wildfires are preventable, bro.... If you read the news, more than a hundred people arrested for arson... This was deliberate....

Some things have improved but some haven’t. Some have gotten worse- plastic waste for one. Personally I think progress has been too slow- certainly nothing to brag about. I doubt future generations will be impressed with us.

Protest in China? How the hell is anyone gonna do that? I’d rather start locally anyway. If you want to by all means go ahead. Best of luck to you.

Don’t have any idea why you bring the orange one up; nobody else has. We polluted before him and we will do so when he’s gone.

Does anyone think pot camps have anything to do with conditions and ignitions?

Could be... Unattended campfires are usually the suspect...not sure how many pot heads have gone deep in the forests...

This has been covered before; Californians need to be like the Fins- vacuum more. ;)

That’s rather dismissive and could just as easily apply to you!

There are climatologists who are not supportive of the so-called "climate change" theorem...a lot of them voiced their opinions against what is being force fed to the public.... Search the matter, you'll find what I am talking about..

What slide222 eluded to earlier had nothing to do with the wildfire outbreak in Australia.... it had a LOT TO DO with arson/environmental terrorism....
