One of the best live bands ever. Big call, but they have never disappointed.

Big yep to that. Me mate had spent a week grieving his Dad's death with his family, in '94. Rang me and said he needed a big night out. Caught the Psychos at the Grosvenor pub in Perth that night, just what he (and I) needed. Ever grateful to 'em :metal:

I think after 40 years of reading The National Geographic, I need to cancel my subscription, and shove my head up my ass. Who needs scientists telling us what we already know? The earth is flat, and we are the center of the universe, pigs can fly, eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we may die. Rock n Roll it's Fri:headbanger:day!

No-one wants to be preached to, and there was plenty of that lately in this thread. Bit of a sidetrack on this page provided some breathing space. We ain't all gunna agree on everything, I take Voltaire's position in that I respect all opinions here.

Seriously how are things going with the wildfires? America's news has moved on to the virus and I see no coverage...

Pretty much the same with the Australian news, probably because not so many houses are at risk. basically the same now as it is every year.

Thanks you're the ones who are giving all us outsiders the honest feedback we need without all the news hype. Hopefully you get some substantial rain in the months to come to help. Peace

As I say media are full of it. They latch onto something hype the hell out of it then move on to the next shiny issue.

The rains came actually a couple of weeks earlier than I thought they would. There are still fires, but now there is a new (false) panic for people to worry about. Wonder what it will be in march....

Something that does bother me a tad, and this may be OT but anyway...

The yield curve inverted start of last year. It indicated a recession about now-ish. Right on queue the corona virus arrives. I don't think it will be a devastating pandemic but it probably will create enough uncertainty to trigger a recession. I don't embrace conspiracy theories, only because I don't have faith that any of the people likely to be behind them are smart enough or that well organised, but how could they possibly predict "something" would happen now?

There may be a pattern in the data I'm not seeing... :(

They learned it from the best.

I do not trust most news but it lets you know what all are up to currently.
