I had not but the Epiphone Sig Single pickup Custom caught my eye and I had a quick listen. I really like his guitar playing.

Yes I believe he took over from Phil X on the Fretted America YT page.
Thanks IB. I dig that guitar.

That is a nice looking guitar. I have always been drawn to black with gold hardware.

Yep, a '55 popped up secondhand locally at end of '17. I'd never seen one before, the specs and look got me on the phone. Has the satin finish, not Epi stockpic gloss. Seller brought it around for a tonal testimony and the deal was sealed

Cool. I was curious about that particular Epi and perhaps down on Epi's in general.
So Mr. James that Epi gets your seal of approval on all counts?

Indeed :yesway: I did have the Headstock Hesitation goin' on, but the axe is more than the impressive sum of its parts. The stock Gibson Soapbar P90s get the growl and wail, and full sounding clean tone. I paid 70% of the already great new price. Around 9lbs weight, ebony board is the icing on the cake. Decent hardcase too, Old Glory gets a gigbag I believe.

I like everything about the guitar but the bridge. just not a fan of the wraparound non adjustable bridges.

I dont mine wrap around but not being able to set the intonation myself would eat away at me.

I wonder how it is intonated ? My old Dean Baby "V' has a wrap around. I never had an issue but it is not up at the moment.
