Pics Pics Pics I have not seen them for under $500 !
This is the one.
Thanks for the lovely gear porn
Yea baby that’s the one!!!
Picking it up Friday. Now I need a red one, and a silver one..lol.
I have a 5203 Master Reverb 30 on the way - going to keep it in the living room. Can’t wait!
You’ll love it !!!
I just sold my Master Lead Combo (model 5010), 30 watts and with a stock Celestion G12M70. This SS amp could have easily hung with a band. Put a Reverb and OD pedal in front of it and your set.
The amp sounded big and can definitely get close to some JCM800 tones. Good amps. I only sold my amp because I’m downsizing my amp collection.
Can anyone tell me anything about the Mosfet 100 Reverb Twin? I think it is a 5213 for sale around here at the moment.
What could I expect from this amp? There is one for sale for $300 (about $200 US money)
They are a true sleeper, and rip like they don’t know that they are tubeless !!
I’ll have to check it out, it’s got peavey blue marvel speakers, but if the amps are as good as you all say, inning it’s needs a chance for the Price.
Well I got the white Lead 12 Mini stack last night..it is an original white one...a 1987 model year..same as my black one..Yep. for $300, which for a white one I think is a steal..Now I'm On the lookout for the rest of the colors.
Just picked up the silver jubilee micro stack, my first lead 12. Now have the bug to collect the other colors, I have an offer on a white stack but the pots are scratchy and seller wants $400. Thoughts?
Pots should clean with deoxit..$400 isn't bad if its in good shape. I stole mine, $300 for the white stack, $250 for the black stack. I'd buy a silver or red one for $400, even if it had scratchy pots.
Thanks Gunner, will probably grab it. Tolex and cloth in great shape, I'm just not very technical and didn't want to put more $$$ into it to have it serviced. Looking at the plexi green version also, need to make room for these guys!
Guys are pretty proud of the plexi versions. I have seen them asking over $800 for the head and appropriate cabs.
Welcome to the forum, it will become addictive.
Back in the late 90's I started collecting those and had every color except for the "plexi" version. Those are really hard to find. The Jubilee sounded the best, just kidding
I have always thought that Marshall should have done those with 12" speakers instead of the 10". Those amps actually sound pretty good and much better, like any Marshall, through a 4x12.
I've had a couple of the Lead 12 combos over the years. One cool thing about them is there is enough room in the cab for a 12" speaker. The last one went out the door a long, long time ago, back when they were cheap. Would love to have a 20 or 30 with reverb.
I've had two combos too. The last one I sold It to a friend. Just one condition, if he want sell It I'm the first to rebuy It. It has V30 10" speaker. The combo is closed back. I can play It when I want do It.
Ive had a 100 watt MOSFET head laying around here for years. Acquired it in a trade. With a delay in the loop, it sounds ok. There's a youtube video I saw, for a mod I did to it to stop the loud pop at power down.
