Thank you so kindly Sir.
I'm really glad you enjoyed the thread.
I certainly did.
Thank you for commenting, I appreciate it.
I backed-off the gain a lot in this clip to give it a more organic Plexi sound.
Sorry, what was I thinking, full-on gain all the way.
Check out those black beauty, you don't see them to often.
Used my Ibanez RG with DiMarzio AT-1 in the bridge for this pre-mod sound clip. Next sound clip of this amp will be with my mods installed, stay tuned.
Moved around some amps today to make room for my new Blues Breaker combo (they are sooooooo big and heavy, not very practical)
Anyway I put all my 200 watters on top of each other on a cart so I can move theme an connect the one I want. (They aren´t very practical either... )
However it looks rather massive!
This one is for you Michael!!!!
You are truly the Plexi Master.
I really need to visit your home and play through all of these monster plexi's.
It would be a dream come true to meet you and Johan as well.
You are welcome!
I've got a 1972 Major for sale if you want it...?
Another piece of vintage Marshall history modded into something else. Reminds me of the guys who take a 53 Goldtop and convert it into a burst with Humbuckers. Or all the Plexis wrecked in the 80s.
Thank you for the offer but I'm not interested right now. However, I'll pass the word out to my customers though.
I don't see the harm? He didn't put any holes in the chassis and the mods are reversible. It's not like modding a guitar. In the 80's we wrecked lots of vintage strats by stuffing a PAF in the bridge position. That can never be reversed.
Better one of those than a Classic JTM-45 / 50 / 100 or Bluesbreaker JTM-45 MKIV Supertrem.
Most customers I've dealt with over the years could care less about things like this but even if someone asks me to drill a hole in a vintage Marshall I still wouldn't do it out of my love for all these 60's Marshall's.
Unlike you I actually care about all vintage Marshall amps and not just one particular brand.
Its the customers amps. They can do what they please with it. In the end it hurts the value of there amps while making my unmolested amp just that much more rare and valuable
