Yeah man, Dumble, Trainwreck........who needs such crap?
Dumble amps dont sound like anything special to me. all kool-aid.
Another vote for Dumble. So he built an amp using a recycled SVT, put his own preamp into it, and got something really loud that is also pretty roadworthy, so what?
To me, the problem with Dumbles is that they're dramatically overpriced and they sound too restrained for me. They're really good at getting an edge of distortion tone, but then again, so are my Marshalls, however a cranked Dumble doesn't sound like it's about to explode and leave a mushroom cloud climbing into the sky like a Marshall does. And I LIKE that sound.
My problem with Dumble amps is I always think of this...
Crate and Bugera comes to mind immediately. but I am biased, I play only Marshall Amps on stage and practice. why use anything else when your already using the best in my honest opinion.
They are awesome...my Maz 18NR Jr is amazing!
why do you say?
Amaaaaaazing amp indeed.
I will only play Marshall, Dr Z, Fender, Orange and Friedman...I ignore anything else!
great tastes MD but dont ignore everything else as you will for sure miss something.
lots of good amp ideas coming out these days. again a lot of garbage coming out too as it seems. lol
Bugera is actually more innovative than most amp companies... that self-biasing self-monitoring mix-and-match power tubes thing is a seriously huge innovation in guitar amplification.
Now Joyo.... they actually name the products they clone on the box.
WTF? Is it SUPPOSED to sound like that?
3hrs into a Greatful Dead set.
Actually, by the name I don't care so much...
But some amps are REALLY ugly - Yeah, I also include the Ugly Amps brand in.
Bugera, Fender (except Tweed), Boss/Roland, Crate are some examples of ugly amps in my opinion. Gibson have some ugly amps as well.
In fact, I really love the Plexi style, and I tend to like what comes in this style. JCM have the front panel crossing all front of the amp, not very fan of that, but not a problem.
Maybe if you played it in reverse it would sound normal.
Oooo infarction. Good name for metal amps!!
Budda, Splawn, Dr Z
