Would you pay 20.000$ for a SG, let alone two?

    Craaaazy...

p.s.: pickup falling out at around the 14 minute mark. Gibson QC at it's best, Authentic!

Sorry Gibson. I would pay 200 or 250 euros for that.

Are you of the opinion that the resale value of those guitars will be in decline over the years?

Easy Pede, Trogly is a well respected member of the My Les Paul Forum. He's reviewed hundreds of guitars, most that are rare and unusual to some degree. He has quite a following on that forum for his in-depth reviews of guitars, many, maybe most,..Gibsons. I get that he sounds like a nerd, but he has a lot of knowledge of Gibson in general and Les Pauls in particular,...especially Late 70s and early 80s LPs!

I've been a member there for 14 years, I haven't posted there in quite a while now because of a falling out with one of the moderators there. Some members here on this forum know me from there.

I'm just asking you to show a bit of respect for this guy, and maybe check out some of his videos on youtube, he has a very informative YouTube channel,....Trogly's Guitars,.... his fans are affectionally called Troglodytes.

I’ve watched many of troglys reviews.
    I enjoy them a lot.
    Most informative.

He ruined the resale value by touching it. Now he's stuck with a $20000 purchase that he can't recoup.

    nope-nope...

$20K is already collector's price. If you were to buy to flip, you'd need a considerable discount to make it worth your while...

I'd maybe pay $20K for Tony's original monkey, but not a fake.

The original monkey is going to sell for considerably more than 20k right?

probably, but I wouldn't pay it...

I don't care for SG's since I had that POS in the '90s. Of course, I'm not a collector. I'm a player & I'd have to tear it up to play it, so I wouldn't even want it...

I'd pay it if I really wanted it. It would have nothing to do with it being someone else's signature though.

I know a guy who could take an SG and make that to a T. Yes, it would be a replica, but so is that.

To each is own though and he seems quite happy with it.

he said he was going to flip it...

Listen at 4:12. He says he's going to do a review Saturday, because he needs to list it before sending to it's next forever home...

I like his videos. As for the guitar, two reasons I wouldn't buy one:
    1. I don't have a spare $20k, and,
    2. I'm not much of an Iomi or Sabbath fan.

I only wish he would stop using that abominable Mesa amp and plug all those great guitars into a real rock and roll machine... A Marshall! I think he should two, an SC20 and an SC20, since he likes the low wattage amps.

Yeah I mean $20,000 ? really? and where did all that money go?
Did they give $17,000 per guitar to Tomy? or what?
    I mean what's the deal w/ that?
You gotta $1500 SG with a monkey sticker on it.

And special pickups, don't forget that... And it's left-handed, as well as a special right-handed version.
