Hey guys, since my last login some time ago, I picked up a 2012 Gibson Les Paul Classic Custom. Figured I'd share it with you guys, and see who else has one of these? In 2012 the USA factory, rather than the Custom Shop, released some Classic Customs. The main difference between these and the Customs is a rosewood fretboard and there isn't any binding on the back of the body. They also came with chrome hardware. All else appearance wise is like a Custom. Binding on neck, binding with purfling on headstock, block inlays, split diamond on the headstock, and binding/purfling on front of body. These are great guitars, and play just like any Custom I've played. They sold for $3,000 new, which is a great deal for a Les Paul Custom in my opinion. Here are some pics I took of mine for my instagram. Even took it to Randy Rhoads' grave site.

    Thanks! I love it
I was playing a show about a mile away from it, and had my white Les Paul. Randy played a white Les Paul.

When I bought my Marshall HW 4x12 cab used on Craigslist, the seller had the black version of your Classic Custom. I remember how nice it played! Sadly, I only have the Epiphone version of the white Custom. (But it was like $225 at a pawn shop, so It'll hold me over 'til I get the real deal). NICE axe & photo of RR's resting place, man! I would have done the same...:dude:

Thanks! I only ever heard of them last year when I found mine on facebook marketplace.

Thanks, yeah I actually really like the chrome on it! Very unique.:hbang:

Oh nice! Yeah, I've seen the black one online before, but never on any local marketplace. I would like to get one some day. Thanks!

Thanks, yeah I actually just got it recently at Home Depot. I liked the look of it, and the color. I took the picture for my instagram because I thought the cream Les Paul looked good next to the ice blue.

Very nice. I had a white custom shop custom for a while and really wanted to like it but 12 pounds was to much for 3 set bar gigs. I picked up a 98 R7 Black Beauty (not sure on the weight but not 12lbs lol) and its been my main LP ever since. Yours has ambered up nicely Hotrodd.

Oh nice! Yeah I bet that'd be exhausting. I actually played an 01 R7 Goldtop recently and it was amazing. I'd love to have one.
Thanks! Yeah it's a really nice cream color
Thanks! I thought it would make a cool shot.

Thank you! The neck is like the 60's slim taper. It's not the nice fat style of say the R7's or R8's. However it allows for faster playing which is good for my style of music. As much as I love the R7 necks, I think this is perfect for what I need it for.

Nice! I bought a 2007 Studio back in 2013 in white for that reason! You'll get your Custom, I'm sure:hbang:

Thanks bro! Nice! If you can't find the fridge at your Home Depot the brand is Galanz. It was like $200 or so.

    Thanks man!:dude:
