Fair enough, but demonstrates originality. How do you like your 4010?

i had done a recording with it at home. i was trying to get a slightly distorted sound. i used a blue snowball mic and my les paul.
i was more concerned with the guitar tone and not so much with my playing. not sure if this link works.

Oh sweet. Waiting for a gig to use it at. I debated actually retolexing mine to white cause I like it but I think I will do the TSL.
The 4010 is killer! So loud. Soo 800. Sounds perfect with the G12-65. Push with a Bad Monkey or even a GE7 EQ. Fantastic piece of Marshall history.
Sort of makes up getting rid of the 83 2203 in 1987.

They might be. Mine had ITT filter caps I think but GE power tubes.
    It's a really cool amp!

You can get vinyl paint and make any black marshall white red purple whatever. Ive seen it done. It looks factory stock if its done right.

I'd leave it alone, but if curiosity ever gets the best of you, I'd use the paint and peel wheel paint (pulls off in sheets when you're tired of it).

I think i will take the advice and leave it the way that it currently is. i'm sure that if i have it retolexed or fixed i will scuff it up worse than it already is.

It looks like you might be able to clean some of the dark marks off. Little scuffs. I'd try it at least. Don't worry about any dings or little tears although a tear can be glued down. I'll bet some of those marks will come off!

No. My friend several years painted a marshall RI white. It looked perfect to me. Maybe if you pulled the chassis and looked at where the covering is bunched you could find some black.
On JCM800s youd have to pulloff the corners and re-rivet them back on. I dont have pics though.
