Thanks for that info. The bass cabs do say bass series though don't they?.The speakers in this are not bass coned speakers correct? Sorry for the questions but I have only seen one other 1982 cab, and that was a long time ago. They seem fairly rare.

You know, maybe 1982A & B cabs are just more high powered cabs compared to 1960A & B's. In the 60's they were more bass oriented
but for JCM800's maybe just high powered cabs. IDK, I am more up on the speakers than the cabs. Def rare though.

    Value?

Should be an easy fast sell for ~$700 since speakers are worth ~150 ea. alone... and a possible slow sell for a grand or a bit more

Good deep clean, light shine on the tolex, touchup on any scars and re-dye the grille for faux-mint looks? Might even find some collector to take for $1500

Idk,..maybe an earlier cab but a 1981? And it seems everyone's going small anymore. I'd like to think I could get that for it if I did decide to sell it. The grill is actually nice and black, it was just how the light was shining on it that made it look faded. It has some nicks in the tolex here and there and there is an extra jack on the back like I mentioned, so it probably isn't collector grade. It is pretty nice for its age though

We are talking about a $400 cabinet, if that, in the condition... if you put it on craigslist in my area of Oregon, and let it sit for a few weeks until someone offered $250, and you met halfway from $300.

    Exactly what happened.

If you want to just make money, sell the casters off of it and make $150 profit, and resell the cab.

A lot of time and driving around, packing and shipping, for $150.

On the other hand, they are great sounding cabinets, far nicer than a 2x12, even at home, so you could just play and enjoy a great cab, and recoup someday.

I won't sell it. If I decide I ever need the money I'll part it out. There is more than $400 there parting it..selling it whole you are absolutely right, and as I mentioned as well..everybodys going small to micro heads and modelers. 4x12s sit on craigslist forever until old guys like us buy em. If this was loaded with 75s I probably wouldn't have bought it as I have several already. These G12-80s seem to fetch pretty good money, and I didn't have any so I grabbed it. At 275 bucks I really can't go wrong..I have no delusions that its worth 700 or more, although the 1982 cab is rarer than the1960 cabs.

Funny....before I edited that last post, I mentioned "old guys...like me" LOL.
Fuzzy memories from back in the day, with a glorious 50 watt half stack cranked onstage :)

Be careful with these. I have severe severe screaming loud tinnitus. I'm pretty sure it has to do with my G12 80s. I have taken them out and have not used them in a couple years.
Of course I was dumb and played loud in a small area without hearing protection but I'm convinced that the 80s put out a tone that did alot of the damage.
Since taking them out, my ears don't hurt anymore after playing, even at the same volume.
    They do sound great though!!

Yes I have the same thing happen with 75s..I use a power brake to keep things in check somewhat but you are right, they are loud. They seem Louder than the v30s or 75s I have here.

    Well duh

    It's a ~99dB speaker

Same settings will be louder vs. many other speaker options

They kick ass actually.. clear and crisp. No different than Any speaker I have as far as hearing loss goes, I can make myself deaf with all of them easily, so I don't with any of them. :)

Call me crazy but now I want to find the B cab. Rarer than the A cab it seems. This may take a while..:)
