Yeah it’s a little beat up, and the input jack has been replaced but sonically its all there, helped no doubt by a pair of 1968 greenbacks.

Date codes on the two original Greenbacks are 18 GA which looks like July 18 1968. I added two 1990s MIE Greenbacks and the cab and amp just sing. Sounds like the record. Late 60s and 1970s rock.

Looks great but I'd retolex the cab just to make it gel with the head OR beat the hell out of the cab to make it gel more with the cab.

Yeah, unfortunately I could only beat the hell out of the cab as I fear me, tolex and glue would be like an I love Lucy episode. But I may try and get the cab re tolexed. The baffle seems to be in pretty good shape so I would leave that be.

I hear ya! I have never re-tolexed anything, I would leave that to the pro's!

It's old, it has a story, it is not trashed works and sounds good, why mess with it.
I have one in similar condition that I gig with and I don't have to worry about it being knocked about.

Never retolex a vintage cab just because it looks "a bit tatty". That is how they are supposed to look after 40 years or more. Originality is everything on vintage gear. Retolex it and you take away its soul.
