Ready for biasing
Biased and finally all back together after a lengthy restoration process !
Beautiful! Love the seeing the "China Hats"
If those China hats are original, be warned, they are sometimes (maybe always?) made of asbestos. Those would be things that should ideally be locked up in an airtight display case and not put anywhere people might touch them.
I finally plugged it in today
Interesting (in a good way...)
I suspect a mobile 'phone was used?
Would love to hear her with a decent mic setup...
You might be interested to know that the smaller chassis screws that are close to 6-32 but aren't that and aren't metric, either, are 4BA thread screws, and I have a small stash of brass round slotted head 4BA screws along with 4BA nuts to go along with them. For period correct Marshall restorations you'd probably want some.
I got them when I found that the heads of several original screws on my 1959 simply snapped off when I went to remove them. 45 yeras of metal fatigue will do that, to a brass screw.
Now I have two 1966 JTM45~100 tall pinstripe grill stacks !!
