Picked up this 1960A Lead at my local pawn shop. Thing is in like new condition. Just needed to be dusted off. Back panel screws never been touched. Cost me $450. I find the G12T-75 speakers to be too scooped so considering swapping them for G12M-65 Creamback's. Already have an old Crate cab with G12M-25 Greenbacks that sounds really good.

Just finished replacing the four G12T-75 Celestions in my pawn shop 1960A with four G12M-65 Creambacks. WOW! What a difference. Played through my Trainwreck Express clone using my 2014 Gibson Custom Shop R8 loaded with SD Joe Bonamassa Skinnerburst humbuckers. Midrange is fantastic. Very smooth. Bass is tight and not overblown. Treble is clear and crisp, not strident. Cannot believe it is the same cab. Highly recommend these speakers in a Marshall 4x12. On top of all that, when I pulled the back panel off, I found it was made of plywood (Birch?) and not MDF as listed in the speaker specs. Pleasant surprise. At some point in the future I may pull out the switch and circuit board and replace the jacks with Switchcraft 1/4" phone jacks but for now, all is good.

Don't toss out those G12T75s! I'd make an offer for them if I didn't already have enough of them.

Actually, they look brand new as does the cab itself.

I frequent all the pawn shops in my area 9 in total. I see lots of cool stuff but not quite like that 1960 cab, great find. About the best deal for me was a pair of Klipsch Heresy II from the mid 90s. Paid 75 bucks out the door.

Lexington, VA is a small town. Only one pawn shop that I know of.
