Question Series parallel 4x12 wiring question...?

So I'm going to have my cabinet wired with two speakers in parallel, two in series. It will be for a purely overdriven amp, no cleans. Do you think I should have the parallel speakers in the bottom or top of the 4x12? thanks

I hope you mean that you will wire each pair in parallel, then wire the pairs in series.

Re: Series parallel 4x12 wiring question...?

Wiring schemes aren't for tone, they're for getting the correct impedance to match your amp or other cabinets. The fact you're not using a clean tone is more related to speaker type than how many ohms you end up running.
