I have played a JCM900 MKIII 50w head, JCM800 2205 Head and a 74 Plexi 50w all with MV on 10. All tested with a 1936 2x12 with G12T-75s.
Seems suspicious when you mention it.. Hmm
Ok this has me interested..
If they would zap an 800 and a 900 into 20w heads ill be the first in line
The MKIII JCM900 is very very similar to the 2203/2204 indeed.
All 900s came with EL34s up until 93 or something.
Rather have power scaling in the 2203x and have them reiusse the 900 MKIII.
Valvestates are really cool amps.
What i dont miss: Roland Cubes. Fuck them.
What i do miss: JCM900 MKIII -91

Bought this recently. 1988 JCM800 2205. Very clean for the age, no tolex wear, a tiny bit of noise in 2 of the pots but thats it.
Dont sell the 800, but a DSL20 or a Boss Katana 50w for low vol practice.
Currently i own a DSL15H, Katana 50w and a -88 JCM800 2205.
The MK3 is just getting more rare by the day! Dont do it!
I sold my Mk3 2500 and still regret it, worst decision ive made.
Just watched Chappers new video and i find it relevant to this to thread.
Basically what you have is the holy grail of the 800 series Combo id say.
G12-65s instead of the more common g12m-70s
Made before the cost...
Among all the amps they produced now, theres something for everyone and if someone cant find an amp they like from Marshall these days.. A...
Oh and also. I would hire Tommy Folkesson as amp designer.
Relaunch the 2 channel JCM800s
Fix the most common complaints and do nessesary mods to the JVM series
Slightly mod the JCM900DR to make it sound...
I Think he gets it right.
Ive been looking all over but i cant find anyone who stocks Hiwatt amps, do they only sell directly or something?
I wouldnt worry. The audio in that vid is awful.
No one would release and amp that actually sounded like THAT ;)
