Bugera 1960 questions

Yes...I know "Hey look @ that loser with the 1960! Let's get 'im!!" but I got it for that Windsor and a Dean bass, and it sounds GREAT! I would love to modify it tho (im just weird like that). In order to do that, I need to know the PT specs for this head (HUGE Transformers BTW!) I can't find this information anywhere (No response from Bugera) but if anyone could tell me this information, i would be much appreciative! Thanx in advance!

Re: Bugera 1960 questions

I have a 6260 2x12 and a 333 head. Both are awesome, I have had no problems out of either. I love to see the looks on people's faces when they hear them.

I don't have the 1960, but I might soon.

Sorry I can't help on schematics.

Re: Bugera 1960 questions

They sound great. Very clear and clean cleans, enough gain to tackle anything. I enjoy them both a great deal. I put some NOS 12at7s in the 333 to tame the gain and it is awesome.

Re: Bugera 1960 questions

I have the bugera 1960. Got a good deal on it. Did some trading plus a $150.00. Had it now for almost a week. The reason I got it was because of its "plexi type sound". Its a VERY LOUD amp though. Cant get the volume above one or two while in the house. And because of that I have to use my favorite distortion pedal to get the sound I want. The amp has alot of headroom for clean tone.

Re: Bugera 1960 questions

Hi.

Good luck in getting any schematics from Behringer.

As for the reverse engineering the PT, like MajorNut1967 above said, is a piece of cake. If all the windings are still ok that is.

The AFe will then give You the approximate VA rating.

BTW, why do You need to reverse engineer the PT for mods?

Regards
Sam
