Anyone have any thoughts on these?

I just picked up a 1976 Garnet Revolution II 50 watt combo. It's a two input single channel amps with reverb and trem.

Only played it for a few mins., but the sound is very very unique. It sounds like a Fender Super that won't break up. It is crazy clean with master and channel volumes cranked. Not sure if it sounds like 50 watts though. Could be bad/weak tubes or just the way it is designed. Maybe it runs cold and puts out less than a Fender with 2 6L6's.

I am doing some research but can't find much info on this particular model. The manfcts. web site is very interesting - tells the story of Mr. Garnet etc.

There is a guy here in Austin,Texas who plays in a band called Grady which is a three piece southern rock kind of thing.He used to be in the band Big Sugar in Canada.When they first started playing out he was using a Garnet preamp through two Fender Super Twins and using Gibson guitars.Killer tone and loud as hell.Back in April they opened for my band and he was still using the Garnet pre through a mid 70's SVT with a 4x12.Still killer tone.Don't really know much about the Garnet stuff except his sounds awesome and I know BTO used them back in the 70's.I bid on a combo on ebay awhile back but it got higher than I was willing to pay for another amp to sit in my room full of blown amps.
