Nad!:d

sorry not a marshall yet but that's why i'm selling the white Framus. I want one of several Marshalls to complete my rigs(MKIII 2210,JVM)
but i've been paying for this one for awhile (why i've been broke )

It's a Bogner Alchemist (but i gave it a new name):
the Booger Uberpaul (a play on Bogner Uberschall)

These are pretty cheap compared to Bogners, and probably even most amps... I think you can get a used Alch for about $400 - $600?

Just expressing my jealousy

Plus, if you can even get one in the Netherlands/Europe, they will be pricey!

Example:

Bogner Panama Head « Gitaar versterkertop

€1200 for the 2-4 Watter with hardly any features. (Cheapest model I can find)

List of Bogners:

Very nice man. You lineup is looking pretty sweet at the moment even without the Marshall's. What drew you to this amp?

Re: Nad!:d

it sounds amazing honestly

yeah you can get them for around $600 bucks, sometimes $500 used. they're sleepers.

the cleans are flatout amazing and the high gain's very organic. it's actualy fairly similar to the Framus in the voicing. not similar enough to sound good with the V30's though. it works (i'll post a low vol clip) but it really shines with greenies and 75's so when i get the chance i'll post a better clip with the 75 loaded cab up.
the cleans and effects are LUSH and the lead is organic and ballsy. it has a lot of mids so the v30's sound a little dark and boxy with it whereas the 75's bring out it's charcter better imo. it's a very big and full sound with that cab and the volume at about 8-10 oclock.

it's not a Framus or marshall killer but it definitely is a GREAT amp that will go wll in any players collection. It's one of the few amps that have good tone imo on both clean and lead channels.

i played one when it first came out and how colorful the crunch/lead was and dynamic and sparkly the clean was did it but it was oto much so i waited a few years

i did a low volume clip last night i will post but it sounds dark because it was really low volume. it was 3am lol.

Re: Nad!:d

again not the best rep of the amp at all but this is a uber low volume play through. it does sound WAY better though with a hair more volume and my other cab.

thanks man i am going to make another clip once i'm feeling better, with the other cab and more volume so you can hear how it REALLY sounds. this amp sounds soooo much better than i got for the clip. i recorded at 3am here so i had almost no volume and the V30 cab doesn't suit this amp well imo. the 75's on the other hand, sound really nice with this amp. i also haven't been able to play much the past few days being ill.

thanks again man

Re: Nad!:d

I played one at GC awhile back, it sounds nice. Musicians Friend had them for $599.00 a few months ago for their "stupid deal of the day". I would have bought one but, I just purchased my YJM100 a week before. I didn't want the wife to cut my balls off so, I didn't even mention it.

Re: Nad!:d

I usually don't like the heavy sound of modern voiced amps, but this is pretty awesome! When are you going to start tracking of these songs with recording equipment? I'd love to hear some of your stuff outside of camera mic quality and be able to listen in my car during my "wind down" time on my way home from work!

the guy that owned it before me modified the grill, i definitely like it BETTER than the stock one! lol thanks.

I'm going to record a clip tonight with the other cab (it sounds better through the 75's imo). i hadn't been on in a couple of days sorry, i was at the hospital getting that stupid kidney stone removed. i have a stint in my cack right now....horribly uncomfortable. feels like the clap when i piss! lol.

Re: Nad!:d

also, the effects you hear on the clean are built into the amp

like i said i will get a better clip up soon with the other cab, i think it's a bit boxy and harsh with the V30's (too much mids) but the 75's are very colorful with this amp on both channels, much better suited to it imo.

Re: Nad!:d

The matching bogner 2x12 sounds really good with the head, the greenback and G12H seem like they were meant for it.
