Re: Line 6 Bogner Valve Amp
I liked it played at Guitar Center for like 10 minutes couldn't tell you the longevity or how it sounds cranked up loud. I remembering it sounding a lot smoother then my Marshall AVT. Have you tried to go and try one out yourself, they are everywhere.

Re: Line 6 Bogner Valve Amp
I own one and I can get pretty decent sounds out of it. You will be severely disappointed if you are expecting it to sound like something other than a Line 6 amp, but as far as that goes the sounds go it sounds very organic and has very decent mid and gain tones. I can get very nice 80's metal tones out of it.

Re: Line 6 Bogner Valve Amp
hi, went for a line 6 x3 live in the end, i have four good amps (Marshall, Vintage Modern, Tsl 60, Vst 100, artist 30) so couldn't make my mind up and thought why get another amp,(small house) so time to have some fun.

Re: Line 6 Bogner Valve Amp
I played one but preferred the Vox valvrtronix head. The sounds were much more accurate, not mushy. I actually have a vox vt100 2x12 combo that I run through a mesa recto 4x12 bottom and wouldn't hesitate to use it to gig with. It has every sound you could want in my opinion. The marshall sounds are very good, it has mesa, soldano, old vox , old fender and more. I am very impressed with it. It is as loud as my 2204.
hope that helps, tbw |

Re: Line 6 Bogner Valve Amp
I have played one and I was underwhelmed. It does a lot, but it doesn't do anything spectacularly, IMHO. After the newness wears off, and the cool factor drops, I think you might be disappointed if you already own decent tube amps.

Re: Line 6 Bogner Valve Amp
I have the HD100 on top of a 1960A cab, running at 4 ohms, and the Bogner Line6 head really sounds awesome. A lot of the presets are crap, but some are very good; dialing in your own sound is where this amp really shines. Believe it or not, and I know you guys are going to hate this, but I'm able to dial in tones that I prefer over my DSL. The only amp I'm not able to simulate tone-wise with the Bogner Line6 is the VintageModern - that head is a one-off masterpiece in my opinion.
Honestly, with the BL6 you can create organic, textured tones that will cause you to reconsider the way you look at amplification. Running through the 1960A cab, this head is punchy, crunchy, glassy clean, full bodied... it's an awesome amp. The new MKII model has even more features, including a looper. How could you go wrong?
