Re: Nad
and for those who may be interested, the middle set of knobs, those ARE my settings in ALL of my Dragon clips. i didn't change them for any of them, i roll my volume knob back to get those OTHER marshally tones in it, all right there in those settings (with a boost or without it still works, for metal i need that boost though).

Re: Nad
i want to have it like this
Dragonlead (crunch) and rhythm (lead channel) Cobra Rhythm on Crunch and lead on rhtyhm 2205 lead, lead, lead. so i can do rhythms in layers with the Framus's or leads in layers with a Framus plus 2205 then use the cobra cleans specificaly for delays etc and dragons for reverbs and achos etc. i'll have a double boost as well. i will likely start with a delay per amp and maybe a verb on the marshall to test. if it doesn't all go well i'll sell the regular dragon (most likely) on here for an axe fx ultra or $1200 minimum. the Dragon's 100% too with fresh power tubes so IF i sell one it'll likely be it and at $1200.

Re: Nad
Not a poll option but, get the 2205 first, you already have a Dragon

Re: Nad
those who hate the dragon and have not played one dialed in let alone at all....well.....poo on your opinion!lol
if you hate them because you don't like their sound i'd understand but, i don't think you'd like Marshalls much then either. it's a modern metal marshall. all i need is a 2205 for the middle or "solo" section (though these do that REALLY well too) and i've got it all. the things go from plexi to SLO (literaly, stock dragons are 2203 on the crunch with added gain stages and tighter low end and the lead's an SLO100 while the clean is a VOX ac circuit) the COBRA modified dragon is cobra spec which is the same but, more gain and compression and is brighter in voice. same amp though with a couple resistors swapped in for higher values and one removed in there. so it's a JVM on the crunch and SLO00 on the lead and VOX ac on the clean. so basicaly they're modern metal marshalls with lower noise floors. I do plan on getting my marshalls again now though. I had to get this cobra first (the cobra modified dragon as they're HARD to get) but, i plan on getting a 4500,2500mkIII,2205 and JMP at some point and all the 1 watters when they're re released, lol.

Awesome!
I voted "Don't sell either man, they're both different internaly and the white one's hot." Man if you can afford to keep them both that is the way to go as they are need something you can pick up at the drop of the hat. NR

Re: Nad
ha ha yeah i'm probably going to keep both. They're just too GOOD to let go. It took forever to get the Dragon's proper EQ but, man once i did (i mean for what i do, it has a TON of lows and can get muddy if they're up past 9 oclock yes NINE O CLOCK! with high gain).
i just did another clip though i can't get the mic to work right so it's crappy web cam. It's a couple of bits froma new song i'm working on called MORGELLONS (which may end up being my solo projects "band name" as well.) this is the Dragon though. I won't get the DraCobra till wed or so.
