On eBay now...my TSL122 Combo...Make offer

Please send offers to christopherclarkson@yahoo.com after reading below:

I purchased this on eBay April 19, 2009. The amp was purchased new previously in 1999 from a Marshall dealer and the prior owner was the only owner prior to me. This amp is in unbelievable condition for being ten years new. There are no cosmetic issues whatsoever. The original eBay item number for my purchase of the amp is 160327444468.

Upon receipt I did a few things to make it even better than it already was when I purchased it. I replaced the preamp tubes with a brand new matched quartet of SovTek 12AX7's. Next, I replaced the power tubes with a matched quartet of SovTek EL34's. The tubes were then biased and the amp was inspected by the Amp Lab. The footswitch was the newer design and never used so I left it alone in the original box. Lastly, I had the Reverb tank replaced and purchased a high quality hand made protective cover from Custom Amp Covers and it fits perfect. These amplifiers are now discontinued and you would be hard pressed to find one in this condition. My original investment in the amp was $1,000 with shipping and I have spent over $350 making this amp like new.

Why am I selling the amp? Well if you look at my feedback, I have been dumping a fair amount of guitars and pickups lately and this is my last item. I have recently been stricken with a disease that causes severe pain in the joints of my fingers after only a few minutes of playing time. I have decided to rid myself of all of my equipment and if and when I am better, I will return to playing. I am open to offers as this is my last piece of equipment.

Below is a review that I read recently that basically sums it all up if you are not familiar with all of the great features of this tone machine:

"The Triple Super Lead series takes the critically acclaimed circuitry of the JCM2000 Dual Super Lead range and then goes one step further. By giving you three independent channels and many innovative features, the all-valve TSL range puts an unheard of degree of control, flexibility and, most importantly, TONE at your finger tips. From crystal clean to the mightiest Marshall roar, the 100-watt TSL-122 combo does it all! Features: 3 independent channels for Clean, Crunch and Lead; Mid Boost Switch for tonal options on the Clean channel plus Tone Shift on the Crunch and Lead channels; Unique Marshall Deep Switch on the Clean and Crunch/Lead channels adds extra low end resonance when selected; Separate Reverb for Clean and Crunch/Lead channels; Virtual Power Reduction [VPR] gives the extra saturation of a lower powered valve amp being driven hard; Power Amp Mute switch for silent recording; Separate FX Loops with front panel Mix controls and level selection for the Clean and Crunch/Lead channels; D.I. XLR Output with acclaimed Marshall Speaker Emulation; 5 Way foot controller for switching channels, Reverb and FX Loop on/off; 1 'Heritage' 12" speaker plus 1 'Vintage' Marshall Celestion 12' speaker."

My name is Chris and if you have any questions that I have not addressed in this book I just wrote, please call my mobile number at 951-288-1400. I live in Riverside, California. Like I said, please do not hesitate to call if you need more information. If it needs to be shipped, it will be via FedEx or UPS Ground. I usually use FedEx, however, I have never shipped something this heavy before.

Thank you,

Chris (ctc1960)
