I just had my pant legs flapping while standing in front of my 412. My ear drums too! I think the 6CA7EH's would do well for you. Clear and tight at high volume. The Telefunken is adding to the clear and tightness too but they(EH's)sound incredible to me opened up. I hit it with a boost and got all kinds of saturation for any kind of heavy. Again, clear and tight. My frik'n ears are killing me. Too much is too much!

Hey wegman! Yeah you got a nice set up man. Very cool. Right now I have a strat with HSS pups and a Gold Top Tele with HH plus coil split. The Tele actually sounds really meaty with the Dimarzio's in it so it is not far off from a LP as far as that goes. I'd rather have the LP hehe. I recently sold a Schecter C1-Classic to a buddy and I traded the SG away.

About the pins. I've bent a pin a couple of times. It was on CP tubes and not the NOS. I really know if they're in the holes or not now. If you are careful you can take some needle nose pliers, grab the pin as close to the base as possible and slowly/carefully bend it back. If the glass cracks at the base though its done. So far I haven't broke the glass(knock on wood!). I'm demoing some Telefunkens right now. Smooth and ribbed with a couple German RFT Telefunkens too. I've got low, medium to high gain mixed in according to Marty's tester. So far I like a couple in particular. I'll be at it for a couple of weeks though.
