With the tubes I have in my amp now all I can say is FUCKING WOW! Pardon my French!

I just opened it up to 3.5/4 and I didn't want to go any louder...it was mystical! Those 6CA7EH's kick ass! I had the tightest(without being stiff), pummeling most articulate saturation I have ever had and it was so toneful. No sterileness or harsh razor blades. The Tele's really add to the clarity of the saturation too. Soloing just sings man! I happy, reary happy!

Thanks for the hook ups! I have enough Tele's to do me for awhile now. I just need to supplement my Raytheon BP collection hehe...if they get reasonably priced again.

I was going through some of my old forgotten preamp tubes and I found one 12AX7 with the brand 'ARS' written on it with the town of Van Nuys, Ca, also written on the tube.. It seems to sound pretty good..is that just another repacked Chinese tube? I remember getting that tube way back in the late 1980s...

Please advise when you can..

Hey Marty I was reading that some of the Sylvania 6CA7's actually don't have a 3rd grid and I think the two I have are like that? Which means it's just a plain old beam power tube!
