No, thank you for posting that. My wife loved the story... she *ALMOST* agrees that I should support cancer too!

    alright J

gig went amazing, our acoustic song got the most positive comments, all 3 debuting band members were buzzing, our singer daisy did especially well, her voice held up well

record label was also majorly impressed, because of the last 5 months being really downhill

    hows things with yourself?

Hey man, no, still got it. Took it to PMT Birmingham who made me a derisory offer so decided to hold onto it, the right buyers out there somewhere, just got to be patient.

Just done the Odbballs MCC 'Frozen Balls Up', awesome but it lived up to its name, f**king freezing!!! We did a good show though.

    How you getting on?

    hi there!

i don't think the volumes will do anything for the squeal... it's just the outrageous amount of gain, the JVM has... many people play with their guitarvolume when using the OD red modes...
i just use a simple noisegate (boss NS2) wired in the 4 cable X-connection... a decimator G-string would work as well
many people bash at the JVM because it's so damn noisy... well... compared to other marshalls it's one of the most silent marshall's ever made... but at high gain anything can happen

i think you've already discovered, that using the FX-loop with the mix pot at 100% wet you lose volume

    as for solutions for squeals:
    -lower gain preamp tubes
    -noise gate
-back off guitar volume (as you discovered)

    Hi John,

sorry for the bit late reply. Hope you enjoyed the concert.
I`m going to see Uriah Heep april 12th with guess who??? My old back from the days bandmembers, just the singer is new to me. We are rehearsing since 7th january 2010 once a week. Man..is this Tiny Terror a cool amp to schlepp with on a weekly base, great tone too but a bit too much in the lowmids for my taste. I knew I`m still and always will be a Marshall lover. Coming thursday we planned to record the first 9 songs (classic rock covers), afterwards to be checked how we feel about the results and set our definate course. Ofcourse when recording this is where my plexi comes in. I just hope the recording goes well, then ofcourse i`ll share the results with you.
I think i can honestly say (or sing) I`m back in the saddle again
Hope you are doing fine too John, best wishes. Salut, Ray.
