    mine generally stays in pentodode 100 watts mode ....so i never really noticed

    Hey Hot Tubes,

    do you notice a much louder hum with your 6100 when running it it triode and half power mode? Mine hums louder, but it goes away when I switch back to full power.

    What tubes are in that one EL34s or 5881/6L6s ??
    I love my TADs (tube amp doctor) If yours is like mine , get the Tads asap !! the best
    output tube i have ever run in this amp !! this is the tube number etc ....
    TAD 6L6GC-STR RCA STYLE BLACK PLATES

    Blows away all the common brnd i have used , these seem to be the Diamond in the
    rough for the 6100LM chassis !!

    Blew a power tube. Hoping to take her in for a full retube today. Man, just when I thought I was done spending money on gear. What power tuebs are you running? Any experiences w/different types? Thanks!

    Hey man, don't know if your interested, but I know you love the 6100's. There is an anniversary blue 4x12 cab on guitar center's used section for $349.99. Just to let you know. I'm going to pass this info on to long as well.

    Yup! That's the crate amp in a Marshall case!! Eww!! I played in a band with a guy who used one. At the time, my old 900 slx 100 sounded 100 times better. I would spend a few more dollars and get a jubi or an 800. use your volume knob for clean.

    Just the 2000. They did have a 30th anniv head that was tsl like. I hate that model though.... Sounds like a crate.
