sorry Mike, I just saw this now. You probably figured your tone issues out by now but I only use the green channel and use pedals for dirt. An old Rat pedal. a ts9 and an sd-1 for a little variety. I get a great Iron Maiden type distortion by using the Rat pedal with one of the overdrives at the same time. I just can't seem to get any good tones from channel 2. I keep the gain on the amp about 5 or 6 then hit it harder with pedals and it seems to work great for me.

Thanks for the tip. Quick question. I'm racking my brain trying to get a decent mild overdriven "growl" with this amp. Just for some straight up rock. Do you ever use the green channel with an overdrive pedal? Or do you use the overdriven channels for all overdriven tones? People seem to praise this amp for its green channel so I'm working using it with a boss sd-1 for a mild overdrive. Can you recomend and settings or better overdrive/boost pedals with this amp? Thanks.-Mike
