Your welcome, I just could not help but compliment on something so cool! I did not have any influence getting into my music. I was actually pushed away from it. My mom just does not like any Rock and Roll period, and my dad only likes 70's and present rock. I started out with Aerosmith and Zep. Then when I heard Van Halen for the first time, I got all into the 80's stuff and since then I have found many great bands and songs I liked.

WOW! You are young. I raised my kids on all rock music. They grew up with my 80's music. My 12 yr old can play Paradise City on my drums. Yes, I am on the LP forum. Havent been there for some time. Thx for the compliment on the Slash LP. Its a great guitar. Just like the other Slash signature LP's I rarely play it.

I am 15, just been playing gutiar for a little over a year now. I wish the scene was still here. If came back to a GnR type look then I would be okay with that too. I like the image Motley Crue and RATT had the most. I wouldn't mind doing a Poison type thing, but the rest of the band would have to want to do it before I would suggest it lol.

How old are you? I am 41. The glam scene hit when I was about 16 or so. It was a wild time. When I played out I was doing the GnR look before they ever came out. I did bleach my hair oncce but that as close to that look that I got. A lot of good stuff came out of the LA glam scene. Still, I liked the striped down look/sound that I was after. I think thats why GnR appealed to me so much.

Yea, Still of the Night does have an awesome tone to it and it is a great song! George Lynch is pretty cool too, I like his Dokken and Lynch Mob stuff. Warren reminds me alot of Mr. Joe Perry as well. Just his whole general style to the guitar, if you just watch him in the "Your in Love" music video, you can see so much Joe influence in him. Of course Aerosmith is my favorite classic rock band, so there ya go lol. I can't really compare my favorite glam bands with classic rock though because they are kind of like apple's and oranges to an extent.

I really liked Quiet Riot when they broke the scene. Demartini is a great guitarist. His playing reminds me of Joe Perry. I love his guitar in Way Cool Jr. I really like Goerge Lynch's playing. Not crazy about his tone on a few songs. Like in Alone Again. Sounded like he was in a tin can. I am trying to get John Sykes tone. I think the tone he had and his playing on Still of the Night is just amazing.

I like pretty much any glam type band of the 80's too, but the few favorites that I just listen to more than others are RATT, Cinderella, Bon Jovi, Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister,Van Halen and Motley Crue. Warren DeMartini is my favorite guitarist though.

I am a huge GnR fan. I listen to a lot of the current music but I am so stuck in the 80's. I like them all. How about you?
