Dual rectifier wanted:(other amps considered)

Framus Dragon for sale or trade PLUS cash:
asking $1200 plus shipping or trade for a dual rectifier and $300.

amp is a version 5 with individual bias test points and externaly (recessed) accessible bias trim pot, has JJ 6CA7's and shuguang 12AX7's.
no issues. it's my second Framus Dragon and i don't really need two so i'm looking for something else and some cash as i have some debts to pay off right now.

feel free to ask any questions etc.

I have posted it before and have gotten offers but they're usualy for amps that don't really work for the high gain stuff i do.

SOME amps i'm interested in are:
Mesa SINGLE recitifer OR single rectifier rect-o-verb MKI plus $500 (either solo or verb series 1 plus cash)
Mesa dual rectifiers plus $300
Mesa stiletto deuce stage II plus $350
Mesa Mark IV
ENGL Savage, blackmore(plus $300),powerball 1 or 2, fireball 100 (price plus negotiable)
Marshall JVM410H newest revision
Marshall post 86 2205 or 2210 plus cash
AMPS AND CABS OR AMPS AND GUITARS/trades plus cash (no floyd or floating tremolo equipped guitars, mainly interested in Jackson SLSMG's 7 strings and Schecter tempest custom or classic with ebony boards or other maple or ebony board axes)
VHT/Fryette pitbull or deliverance (deliverance 60 plus $300)
Orange rocker 100II (divo equipped models/high gain)
other Marshall amps plus cash/trade and so on...

i'll consider any fair offer that's within my playing interests ie: high gain, shred, prog, metal.

i will consider 7 string guitars with rosewood boards but prefer maple or ebony

clips in my sig and on youtube at diesect33@youtube

specific pix on request, may play the amp yourself here. buyer pays shipping, no returns accepted.

amp hasn't left my house (backup head) but i'm not the first owner. it IS however in great cosmetic shape and perfect working order.

also has NON invasive Framus Cobra modifications so it is basicaly a Framus Cobra in a Dragon chassis. the part of the mods that were NOT done (as they were invasive) is adding the shift toggles to the face of the amp.

any other info needed please ask:

THE WHITE ONE pictured is the one for sale:
price points are listed

thanks Chuck

yeah that's kinda why i'm selling it. i owe a friend for helping me get another lower powered amp but i've almost got what i owe him now so if it doesn't sell at this price i'm just going to keep it. it beats the hell out of any Mesa i've played (etc) but a mesa would DO for now (since i have two Framus').
i looked up a TON of price points and am confident that it's more than fair for this head but we'll see how it goes!

i'm not dreaming thrawn, the amp i'm looking to trade is worth a few hundred more so asking for $250 on top of it isn't unreasonable at all. as for aussie, i have no idea what he's babbling about.

Hmm I have a great sounding 2 channel revision G DR I may consider letting go. Foot switch extra set of tubes. EL34 installed, extra set are 6L6. You have heard the amp on screwtube.

Is the Dragon stock sir?

no it's the cobra spec'd one. i'd love to do the trade. i will be honest though and say i don't know if you'd like this one. you may i don't know but it sounds like a cobra not a dragon. the stock dragon i have i like better so i'm keeping that one though most metal guys really like my cobra modified one better.

i'm the weird one. i like my other one more.

Re: Dual rectifier wanted:(other amps considered)

i will add though the mods are easily (and non invasively ) reversed. i'm thinking about pulling the gain back on the crunch channel to leave it stock. i like the lead and clean on this one a lot but the crunch doesn't do it for me, too much gain. the Dragon that's stock kicks balls on all 3 channels to me.

so i'm thinking about putting it back into "dragon crunch" and "cobra clean and lead" mode. then i may keep it though lol.

i think the rectifier sound would suit your play style well paul.
though i dont know how those things really respond to higher notes like u do with your shredding.
what do you think?

yeah a dual dialed in correctly would work i think. i would probably have to modify it a bit (bias pot at least) but i know my stock rectoverb did much of what i needed. the main issue i had with that was boredom....i wish i still had it honestly. at the VERY least it could be my rhythm amp but yeah dual recs can do mids and shred very well imo it's all in the eq and they have a HUGE range in their eq (and why so many can't find a useable tone imo...they're used to setting and forgetting when these amps aren't meant for the plug and play type)

i don't think a triple would suit me though...i liked it when i first played it but now....the triple's a strictly rhythm amp in my eyes.

the last dual i played had nice top end. i found the main issue was the sloppy lows on them but i dial my lows back anyway. this amp has tight lows so i can bump them up but i don't utelize it really. so yeah i think a dual rec would be perfect. what i'd LOVE is a roadking. the dual rec road king is the one i really want. that i'd likely do a flat trade for.

Re: Dual rectifier wanted:(other amps considered)

this amp's still available. asking cash, cash plus trade or flatout trades.

amp i most want is a dual rec plus $250 or stiletto deuce stage II plus $350.

others considered of course. i'm just looking for something else but a fair deal for both parties involved

but i do have a buyer on the 3rd. it's nto someone i expect to come through on it though so we'll see. i think it's pretty fair though.
