FS-1973 Gibson Les Paul Custom '54 Reissue

1973 Gibson Les Paul Custom 1954 Reissue (know as a "LE" which is stamped before the serial number). The deal on these guitars is that they are made with single piece necks and bodies (not a 3 piece neck and a pancake body like your typical Norlin Era Gibson). I have owned 3 of them and this was the keeper.

The condition of the guitar is relic'd by years of playing. Lots of dings, dongs, dents, scratches and chips. Some of the paint is worn of the back of the neck.

The good thing is that it has no breaks, repairs, or extra holes. The original tuners have not been removed. Weight is about 9.5 pounds. I believe the previous owner stated the P90 was out but it was put back in. It was done many years ago as the solders look old. I also have the original purple lined case. The only non original part is that it has been refretted with larger frets (IIRC it was done with the plastic tips still against the fretwire which is very expensive and time consuming/most luthiers won't do this or charge extra so you won't ask it to be done). This is a must for guitars from this era as the fretless wonder frets made these guitars difficult to play. The guitar functions and plays incredible.

It is a workhourse and is in the condition its in because it was PLAYED over the last 35 years. Because of the condition, I will offer a 72 hour return policy if not 100% sassyfied.

Serious buyers email me at inson1@verizon.net

$5500 shipped.
