PCBs in Marshall Amps how do they stack up?

I have a question for the more technical of our readers. It is pretty common knowledge that printed circuit boards are being used more commonly in modern amps; my question is, since most manufacturers except for the most expensive boutique amp makers are using PCB's, how do Marshalls PC boards stack up? There are heavy duty PCB's light duty ones, and flimsy cheap ones. Where in that range does the Marshall PCB rank?

It would seem there is quite a range of PCBs in use, and I would like to know what to expect over the years. Granted, a point to point hand soldered would be the preference but with things as expensive as they are, even some boutique makers are using printed circuits these days.

Thanks out there,

Al,

Their boards are fine. The only ones that had any problems were the first line of DSL/TSL amps. This has since been corrected. Sound quality is the same regardless of PTP or PCB. I like PTP for the sole reason that they are easier to work on. Even some super expensive boutique amps use PCB's like Engl.

ANY recommended idle current is a guideline and in no way a necessary requirement. There is no skeleton key for any tube amp.
