ARTIST 1972 50 WATT combo
Hey there folks,
i got an artist 50 watt combo 1972, bonus ebay buy' , i knew before buying it that is was gonna be a clean amp but not 'that' clean!, so i need to make it a monster, i have had a good look at the wiring and componants, looks like i have more than enough stuff in it to turn it into 2204 with the addition of a few pots, never built an amp before but it all looks quite simple, can i just copy the build of 2204 then look into the testing side? any help would be great. |

Re: ARTIST 1972 50 WATT combo
This link might help as a start
From Marshall Artiste to Plexi However, make sure that you know what your doing (high voltages etc etc.) and also that a Marshall Artiste amp is still and will become more collectable as it is. Don't turn a 'cheap' project into a 'junk' project that will have potentially little to no value. |

Re: ARTIST 1972 50 WATT combo
Have you tried or considered investing in a few OD pedals first, to see if you can get some good tones from it before you mod it/butcher it?
