Re: Narb on Ebay!

Well I've seen plenty of them. In fact, I've owned several and I still have the XXL model with the defib switch and the reverberating oscillator function. Also, since this is a deluxe model, it has the built in three-layer phasor.

So yeah, I've seen 'em.

Somebody spank Adwex! tisk tisk.

NARB is Bran spelled backwards. As in Ken Bran, Jim Marshall's first Engineer. I was a way for Sound City to sell an amp same as a Marshall with a different name.

Re: Narb on Ebay!

I was just playing head fock, because the OP didn't leave a link for the amp. As you an tell, he never responded to my suspicious post. Makes me wonder???

Sound City didn't last too long. Sort of like a Risson amp. Are you familiar with those? Believe it or not, they are building these by hand again using left over parts from the 80's.

Famous Musicians & Risson

At the very bottom of the page, right hand side, click on "amp pricing."

Check out that picture of a very young SLASH.

Re: Narb on Ebay!

Thanks for the info, I've only seen one in the Marshall book.
I thought it might be something exciting to talk about.
I've never heard of Risson, thanks for the info.
Sorry for not including a link to the amp.

Re: Narb on Ebay!

Not a problem. I'm a trouble-maker anyways.

NARB Amp, S/N 0002, Marshall, 1974, Super Clean, Rare - eBay (item 390110167250 end time Nov-24-09 06:39:22 PST)

There you go. S/N 0002????!!?

Wow, what a complete rip! All that's really different is the name, color, and amp model name.
